This could get awkward
Ah, Caffiends Cafe. Some might call it the heart of Victoria College. So, it makes sense that you’d want to work there with your sweetheart. But this couple? They just started dating. They probably haven’t even met each other’s parents yet! Here’s a list of reasons why they definitely shouldn’t work a Caffiends shift together.
They know they still have to work the shift together if they break up, right?
A Caffiends shift is a three- month commitment. That’s longer than they’ve been together.
This is the Victoria College equivalent of inviting someone you just started seeing to your brother’s wedding in September.
Think about their poor shift-mate!
No matter what happens, this sucks for their shift-mate. Best case scenario: their shift-mate has to deal with them being “adorable” and in love and calling each other “my little coffee bean” all the time. Worst case scenario: they break up, refuse to talk to each other or even say the words “coffee beans” because it reminds them of their lost love, and their shift-mate has to do all the work.
It’s obnoxious
Okay fine, maybe they’re perfect for each other or something and they’re both extremely confident the relationship will last. But they still have to PRETEND they aren’t! Don’t they know the rules? You have to pretend you don’t like each other that much to be cool!
