Victoria College Drama Society announces “Off-Bader” season

The Victoria College Drama Society (VCDS) has announced a new “Off-Bader” season of shows to supplement their previously unveiled mainstage offerings. When reached for comment, VCDS Executive members noted that: “This season does not exist,” and “You obviously just made this up, Katherine.” I salute their attempt to keep this season exclusive, but theatre of this caliber is too great not to be seen by all. The season’s listings are as follows:

BRANTA CANADENSIS
A Collective Creation by The Company of Nine

Many people see the Canada Goose as a mere annoyance. Branta canadensis uses dance, puppetry, and choral voice to ask us to reconsider our opinions on these humble birds. Who, indeed, is the real pest on campus? This production will be filmed and then distributed to audience members on USBs carried by a messenger goose.

CRES-SCAMMED
Written by Rosencrantz Phillips

Cres-Scammed is a fictional true-crime podcast that follows two students investigating the mysterious ‘Crescam Serviendos.’ On the surface, the Crescams are just another student award, but is there something nefarious hiding behind all that Latin? Episodes will be released weekly on Spotify, Soundcloud, and Bb Collaborate.

DI/VEST
Written/Directed by: You

Much like Victoria College’s divestment plan, this play is imaginary. Just picture it, in your mind.

NED
Written by Cal Deadication
Directed by R.T Lone

NED is a new musical about the life of Nedley Nedlerson, the founder of Ned’s Cafe. The production follows Ned’s attempts to perfect his water recipe while dealing with the fiendish machinations of his rival, Chef Caffy. Along the way, NED asks us to consider the line between getting by and selling out in a world where there’s no such thing as a free Mac. This production will be staged at Mr. Nedlerson’s mansion on the Bridle Path.
