1. Why are you running for councillor?
The councillor position is a great stepping stone into VUSAC. As a first-year Vic student, I aspire to become a resilient member of my community. I want to leave a legacy behind in Victoria College and I know this position is a great way to kickstart my journey. Crucially, I love serving my community and giving back to others under an administrative council.
2. What sets you apart from other candidates?
I don’t know the other candidates well enough to make an assumption, but I know we’re all striving to become well-respected members of our community; however, my undying desire to serve my community, my ability to multitask, always go above and beyond, and my hard-working demeanor has always been a decisive factor in my values when compared to others.
3. What commissions would you like to work on and why?
After I finish my role as councilor in my first year at UofT. I would like to become the Equity Commissioner because it combines my two favorite things, event planning & inclusivity awareness.
4. Do you have any personal ideas or projects that you would like to take up as a part of the VUSAC Council?
Firstly, I want to experience what it’s like to be a member of VUSAC and become familiar with our duties and limitations as a council before I put any personal idea or projects into motion, nevertheless, I always see room for improvement in the best of communities, especially, when a large demographic is involved with their own individual interests.
5. What will you do if you do not win?
Cry… (Just kidding). If I don’t win, I will still endeavor to serve Victoria College and the interest of its community in any way I can. Besides, I have three more years, so I’m not going anywhere just yet.
6. Give your personal review of the Northrop Frye McDonald’s.
I haven’t had the chance to try it yet but I’m looking forward to it. I hear they make really good burgers and I want to judge for myself.
