Romantic

I’m a romantic,
And I want every desire
My hungry heart has ever craved.
I want you in the bathtub,
Sharing cigarette after cigarette while the glass tray
Becomes muddy with
A mix of ash and water droplets
That drip off of my wrist bone.
I’m a romantic,
And I want each love bite to last forever.
I want you the next morning,
With a yearning that I can feel
Even before you wake,
My soft hands in your soft hair
As you hum “Here Comes the Sun.”
