The recent actions of President Trump are not only a violation human rights but are also against the 1951 UN Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees, and the 1967 UN Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugees. Canada is a party to both of these international laws. Thus, ss Canadians, we must do our part to express the fact that these actions are not only morally apprehensible but against international law. Our government must do everything in its power to condemn these actions.

The letter in the link demands the following
- That your Member of Parliament advocate and strive for the immediate entry of those stranded in limbo
- A repeal and replacement of the Safe Third Country Agreement (2004)
- Repatriation of al impacted Canadians
- Public denouncement of President Trump’s executive order and reaffirmation of Canada’s commitment to refugees
